Cleaner Cooking Camp - Malawi 2015
Afribam was invited to participate in this years three day Cleaner Cooking Camp in Malawi, on day two we presented bamboo as a sustainable alternative fuel for cleaner cooking.
Only 10% of Malawians have access to electricity
Day three we supported stand in an outreach to the public at the Masintha Ground, Lilongwe. The event was well attended by dignitaries, media and public. The Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining Atupele Muluzi gave the keynote address in which he also highlighted the challenge that over 90% of Malawians do not have electricity, the need for improved stoves from both a health and efficiency perspective together with the need to develop sustainable alternative cooking fuels.
