Bamboo Nutrition

While bamboo shoots are a common and delicious form of nutrition, it is less well known that their leaves are an excellent form of high fibre, protein rich roughage for livestock feed. We sent samples for analysis and the results indicate that bamboo is a superior roughage base than grain based straw. It makes a suitable base, that can be augmented with maze and a low protein lick.
